Anniversary Show

Twenty-five years ago, we started making marionettes -- a lead miner, for starters, which led to our first production, "The Lead Miner's Daughter." We won't be repeating that production this year -- we'll save that for next year and our 15th anniversary at the opera house. Instead, we will celebrate by performing one of our favorites:

"The Magic Calendar"

11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sat. Sept. 1, 2018
(No performance on Sunday)*
2 p.m. Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 3
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sat. Sept. 8

Witch Hazel gets a very large, very mysterious package and can't resist opening it early, despite being warned by Bossy the Cow. Inside is a larger-than-life calendar book. As the pages turn, Hazel is entertained by a year's worth of puppet friends "singing and dancing and telling bad jokes."

*Instead of performing on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, you will find us in Benton's Labor Day parade and doing a puppet-making workshop in the park that afternoon. Note that earlier schedules had the performance time on Monday as 11 a.m.
