Pup-a-Foo-Glee 2019!

Pup-a-Foo-Glee is our annual FREE* day of Puppets, Food and Fun!
(*Donations are appreciated!)

10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, June 15 -- that's the day before Father's Day

We are proud to announce that our guest performer for Pup-a-Foo-Glee this summer will be Jill Frederickson's  Little Puppet Co., of Kenosha, Wis.! Jill will be joined backstage by Susan Fulcher, of Matteson, Ill., who presented puppet workshops here in 2017.

They will present two performances of:

"Little Red Hen & Friends"

Each performance will be followed by a puppet-making workshop by the Fever River Puppeteers. Kids will start out making a paper plate puppet. This might be challenge enough for the little ones, but the rest of the kids can continue to make the slightly more complicated Cereal Box Body Puppet. Yes, this is the time to say: Save empty cereal and/or cracker boxes for us!

(I haven't perfected the art of taking a selfie in the mirror without making my phone super obvious!)

The over-all schedule is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This gives us a little leeway first thing in the morning to get everyone settled and introduced before the first show starts. Note that times are as close to reality as we can make it. But, you know. Things happen.

Here is the actual schedule:

10 a.m. -- Welcome! (Coffee will be available for grown-ups!)
10:30 a.m. -- "The Little Red Hen & Friends"
11:15 a.m. -- Puppet-making workshop
Noon -- Concessions and art activities outdoors, weather permitting. Painting, sidewalk chalk, theater games. puppet petting zoo, etc.
1:30 p.m. -- "The Little Red Hen & Friends"
2 p.m. -- Root beer floats
2:15? -- Puppet making workshop
