Pup-A-Foo-Glee! A FREE Event!

Our annual day of Puppets, Food and Fun is fast approaching!

It is all free (except for the food), but we will be grateful for any donations.

This year we will host puppet-making workshops by Susan Fulcher, of Suzette's Puppets, a children's librarian from Matteson, Ill. She has lots of experience in teaching kids to make puppets and is organizing puppet clubs for kids at her library. The morning workshop will be especially geared to the little kids (the ones who still need afternoon naps.) The afternoon workshop will be a bit more challenging and aimed at school-age kids. (But there will be plenty of help in case there are some Littles tagging along in the afternoon.)

AND, we will be performing one of our favorite shows, "River Critters." Some people have said it is our best show. It is the story of one summer day on the Mississippi River when Grandpa takes Buddy on his first fishing trip. It is chock full of animals: a curious otter, a sensible turtle, a cranky catfish and a fish fly who likes to par-tee.

There will be two performances of "River Critters," each one followed by a workshop.
During the noon hour, there will be concessions from The Wigwam and activities outside (weather permitting). Kids can draw with sidewalk chalk, paint a picture or play with puppets at the Puppet Petting Zoo.
