Jack and the Beanstalk

Jack decided to climb up the beanstalk in our backyard before he tries to scale the magical version on the stage at the Hazel Green Opera House in September.
We will be performing our version of the classical "Jack and the Beanstalk" for Labor Day weekend, with shows at

11 a.m. & 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5
2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6

AND (for all those folks who simply have to go camping over the holiday)

11a.m. & 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12

This is the show with the goose that lays the golden eggs and the magical singing harp. When we first did this story in 1994 in Benton, it introduced Witch Hazel Green. (Some versions of the tale included a witch to explain to Jack that the giant in the clouds had killed his father and stolen their goose and harp.) Our version also includes a love interest for Jack in the person of Jill, a human-sized maidservant in the giant's kitchen.

PLEASE NOTE: As of Aug. 2, the Village of Hazel Green is still hard at work on a massive Main Street construction project. Your might need to park further away than usual.
