"Avenue Q" rocks

I recently had the opportunity to serve as a consultant for the Bell Tower Theater's high school age production of "Avenue Q School Edition." Chuck and I attended the Saturday evening performance in Dubuque and thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is definitely for a PG-13 audience, with the emphasis on 13 and older. Adults will get a kick out of it, too. It has a message of tolerance -- in a hilarious, edgy, very contemporary way. This is not a show for little kids (despite the cut muppet-type puppets! Work with me here!) But if you have a kid who has outgrown our shows at the opera house (or thinks he or she has), this one will still appeal.
These puppeteer/actors are all great singers, too.
The show continues at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 13, 14 and 15, plus Sunday at 2 p.m.
